IDScan provides on-the-fly configuration of verification rules.
It means that you can decide how and which findings after the performed checks affect the overall status of the application (Approved, Needs review, Declined).

Open the Customer Portal-> Go to Settings-> Choose Verification rules

It means that you can decide how and which findings after the performed checks affect the overall status of the application (Approved, Needs review, Declined). Also, you can just disable some checks if you don't need them.

Fuzzy Matching-IDscan provides an adjustable option of ’fuzzy’ names comparison based onDamerau-Levenshtein algorithm . This can be useful for reducing false negatives when users do not provide the exact spelling of their names (as shown in the ID document). It covers such cases as insertion, omission, or replacement of characters.IDscan 
Swapped First and Last names

IDscan will flag out if the applicant's First name and Last name (if collected on the form or sent via API) are swapped with the First name and Last name values that are extracted from the ID document. If the applicants' profile First name and Last name are swapped when comparing with the First name and Last name values that are extracted from the provided ID document, set the application status to Needs review or Decline
IDscan will not make the check of the swapped applicant's First name and Last name (if collected on the form or sent via API) with the First name and Last name values that are extracted from the ID document.

Detection of not a colourful photo by IDscan will not affect the overall application status and possible checks will be performed.

If an applicant has not provided a photo of the backside of a 2-sided ID document (ID cards, residence permits, driving licenses and others), set the application status to Needs review or Decline

  • Watermarks that are not related to a document found.

If an applicant has provided a picture of the ID document with any digital signs or watermarks on it, set the application status to Needs review or Decline

Digital tampering

Fonts

  • Usage of non-genuie fonts suspected.

  • Fonts that used on a document are correct.
If fonts used on the ID document are not correct according to official ID document template rules, set the application status to Needs review or Decline
Security features

  • Issue with security features on a document suspected.

  • No issues with security features found.
If there are any issues found with security features on the provided ID document, set the application status to Needs review or Decline

Consistency and validity of extracted data(dataExtractionConsistency)

Service: docCheck(checks if the data in the document is consistent and valid in all places of its presence. For example, data in MRZ and on the Visual zone of the document )
Age VerificationconsiderDescription:
  • Applicants age less than minimum required age. 
If the applicant's age is less than the minimum required age, set the application status to: Needs review or Decline
If the applicant's age is less than the minimum required age, it will not affect the overall application status.
First nameconsiderDescription:
  • Applicants First name does not match First name on the document.

If the applicant's First name extracted from the visual zone of the ID document is not the same as in MRZ (when applicable), set the application status to Needs review or Decline

If the liveness check is activated in the user flow and the selfie does not match the face that was captured during a liveness check, set the application status to Needs review or Decline
